Hello

If I get a before-and-after pair in time, I'll use it.

Regarding the 'tone of criticism', I made a comparison based on what I hoped were reasonable criteria.  If you think there's a big plus (for LaTeX) or minus (for Python) please do let me know.  Again, I'm willing to make changes (or even add a rebuttal) to the presentation.

It's probably not on purpose, but I'm afraid you couldn't misrepresent
the expl3 code more if you tried in your example. I would appreciate
it if you could remove that code snippet until we have a chance to
discuss a better alternative.
