i don't know whether the amazon entry is bogus, but there really is (or
used to be) some text that purported to be part of such a book.

indeed, i was thinking, only today, of asking frank whether he was going
to push the book forward.  it does rather depend on the stability of the
latex 3 language ... but then, the project is working on that right now.

apart from the improbable accuracy the amazon entry suggests, i would
think that <2 years would be a challenging timescale.
