yes and no. i view the current work as outline in the talk given in Vancouver
the first priority since if these interfaces are available and well-received
they will alter the need for certain packages and also alter change what needs
to be explained about headings/toc entries etc in the companion revision.

so my current plan is to start working on a revision seriously not earlier
than late 2000
