But then you could need
\quote{...\inquote{...\ininquote{...\inininquote{...}...}...}...}
I have encountered quotations to this depth of nesting.
Has anyone met greater depth of nesting?
The real problem here would be remembering which level you were at,
in case an additional level of quotation was needed.
