You have put your finger on it. I've explained LaTeX to
several secretaries and they didn't find difficult the
LaTeX markup at all (excluding math, mainly because they
don't understand it, and tables). On the contrary, some
of them even said it was easier than Word! The problem
was when they said: «OK, it look nice but this is not
exactly what I want».

I was working on a GUI to create document classes (using
Python/Tkinter), but unfortunately for personal reasons
progress is veeeeery slow.
