    On comp.text.tex Frank Mittelbach recently suggested someone take a crack at a template-based page style package. I had a go at such a beast (called xhead) about a year ago. Frank has now kindly installed it at
http://www.latex-project.rg/code/experimental

    I'll be interested in any comments about it; be gentle, though, as it's my first attempt.
