How much ``swashness'' are you allocating?
Zapfino has up to eight variations, and the OpenType spec allows for up
to 20 (ssalt)
I think it'd be better to have one axis for ``shape'' (roman, upright
italic, italic, oblique) and another for swash alternate level (since
one could have swash alternates for roman)

I agree w/ Lars that all caps is a better term in English than versals
(unless you're planning on accommodating alternate cap forms here? As
Will Robertson pointed out, one of the problems w/ this sort of thing
is knowing where to stop.)

What about 3/4 size lining figures? Or French old-style (2 has an
ascender) as opposed to English?
