sebastian's presence as a publisher's `representative' speaking on
this list places him in a minority of one (with the possible exception
of michael downes, whose exact status at the ams isn't clear to me).

sebastian is trying to enlighten us all about the publishers' take on
the future of typesetting.  i, for one, can't fault his intentions,
even if i disagree with some of his comments.
