If you mention \includeonly, something different comes into my mind:

\includeonly expects a comma-seperated list like
\includeonly{file1,file2}. This is quite intuitive but has a few
restrictions, especially with spaces in filenames. (Though I think
spaces should be avoided, they definitely don't make life easier.)

The graphics package provides an other kind if list syntax:
\graphicspath{{file1}{file2}}.

In LaTeX3 it would be better to have only one type of list syntax, at
least at user level.

Regards,
  Reinhard

Microsoft isn't the answer. Microsoft is the question, and the answer is NO.
