                        Minutes of the weekly

Tracking Detector Readout Electronics Meeting, 3.4.2003

Participants: Daniel Baumeister, Harald Deppe, Sven Loechner, Uwe Stange,
Ulrich Uwer

Beetle:

- pipeampreset patch for 1.3 version:
possible to uncover pipeampreset line between Fastcontrol and Pipeamp on
  a Beetle 1.2 die.
  possible to change signal
but by accident destroyed the chip => new chip sometime next week

- deadline for a next possible submission: 16.06.2003
- 80 MHz: no news => simulation of power-consumption

OTIS:

Uwe:
- start with programming of control logic OTIS 1.1
- change of readout: now internal latch of all datas before a readout
- memory self-test: latched as well
- new feature: readout of one triggered event via I2C
- new debug options on chip
- implemenation of new readout option (readout length not fixed)

Harald:
- external access to a hit reg. via pads should be possible

Ulrich Uwer:
- 12bit position Id. is not unique (because some I2C Id no. are
    prohibited)
  -> better: 13bit BUT unbeautiful

other solution: Id adjustment via two group of external pads:
    - 12 pads for position
    - 7 pads for I2C address

Uwe/Harald: should be enough space for additional id pads.

- discussion about synchronisation
possibilities: leading bit in front of a new, first readout

Harald:
outcome from FIB patch at Micrion:
- some problems with the vacuum because of the used PCB
- good solution with two holes on a die:
    first for a line-cut
    second for deposition
- only Polyimide was removed with our laser in HD, not Nitride or Oxide
(very good because than it is easier to deposit the new line)

Harald/Jan:
- new recorded data (at 2.3V): not yet analysed
- data (1 hit, 3 trigger): not yet analysed

Sven
