New Full-text Database Acquisition:

Fuyin baokan ziliao quanwen ziliao guangpan, 1995-
Publ.: Beijing : Zhongguo renmin daxue shubao ziliao zhongxin, 1997-.

ChinaResource.org has acquired a full text database containing the complete
1995-2001 set of Chinese-language scholarly articles put together by Renmin
daxue in Peking under the name of Fuyin baokan ziliao.

They represent a wide selection of unshortened full PRC articles in all
fields of the humanities and social sciences. The emphasis is on important
articles that have appeared outside the main journals such as Lishi yanjiu
or Jingji yanjiu. Articles from periodicals outside the state publishing
system and/or without International Standard Serial Numbers such as Daojia
wenhua yanjiu are not included at all.

Searches can be for authors, titles, as well as individual names (such as
Su Dongpo) and words within individual texts. The articles can be
downloaded in full from the database. The database allows for a very
timely, very extensive, and very fast search through Chinese publications
and gives access even to marginal information that might be contained in
articles with a different main topic. The surface is in Chinese.

The database is proprietory and can only be used in the Institute. If you
are interested in using this database please see our information on
"Traveling to the Institute for Research Purposes" and "Hiring a Local
Research Assistant" at http://chinaresource.org/access.htm.
