Weekly OTIS and Beetle meeting, 17.01.2002, 14:00
Participants: Daniel Baumeister, Harald Deppe, Karl-Tasso Knoepfle, Sven
Loechner, Uwe Stange, Ulrich Trunk, Ulrich Uwer
OTIS Part:
H.D. is working on the layout for the timecore (DLL,HitReg,Decoder,PPL).
He has completed 20 per cents of the layout and is well in the time
schedule.
U.S. is working on the decoder interface.
Test of Derandomizer: Jan Knopf will start with test measurements of the
derandomizer. Dirk should support Jans work in the ASIC-Lab.
ES.KIP: Since we need the computer no more, we will install the old system
(beginning of December) from ADSM and switch the computer off. Uwe will
get the computer of martin Feuerstack instead of ES.KIP.
Beetle Part:
D.B. gave a short introduction of the implemenation of the new SEU schema.
It is already implemented in Verlog and he is now working on some test
routines..
The new Beetle will have 3 different shift registers:
CompChTh (comparator channel threshold)
CompMask (comparator mask)
TpMask (testpulse mask)
The mother boards are shipped to Laussane and Oxford.
Michael Schmelling wants to characterise the following parameters for each
different Beetle frontend:
- peaking time
- rise time
- gain
- remainder after 25ns
- max. charge rate
- ENC
- changing of the peaking time / gain against ext. load capacity
and in addition for the Beetle 1.1:
- yield
- pipeline homogeneity
