Hi There were several talks at the recent TeX Conference that relied on XML to TeX to PDF and related technologies. Tomorrow's TeX Hour provides a place to discuss this shared theme. Briefly, it's a good idea if you want multiple high-quality outputs from a single source file, and authors willing to make the extra effort to achieve this. This meeting is dedicated to the memory of Sebastian Rahtz, who was a great advocate of XML and TeX. He was a major contributor not just to TeX (think TeX Live) but also the Text Encoding Initiative and in particular their XSL stylesheets. Here are the details for tomorrow's TeX Hour on XML to TeX to PDF. Date and time: Thursday 19 August, 6.30 to 7.30pm UK time. UK time now: https://time.is/UK.
