I briefly recall that the typesetters really want the math fonts and text fonts to match. But is this really necessary, as all math symbols and names should properly be typeset in an graphical environment, separate from the text environment. For example, the name $\sin$ would have extra space around it, in order to bring out that this is not proper text. So would not non-matching text and math fonts rather help bringing out this difference even more? Hans Aberg
