have you ever had a paper rejected on the grounds that you have said
`colour' instead of `color' or vice-versa? who ever checks it?

i see a lot of scientific papers here; the *spelling* is the very
least of their problems - many authors need a course in basic literacy
before getting round to spelling.......

if this is 2 years work on a fundamental paper, or a text book, then
maybe authors might get around to minutiae like color vs colour. i
suggest that the rest of time you should just write in your own
dialect, be consistent, and take the journal to court if they reject
your apper on those grounds only....
