Bibliographical notes are divided in historical portions from "early film" to "post Tiananmen" or focus on filmmakers such as Chen Kaige, Zhang Yimou, Hou Xiaoxian, Stanley Kwan, Wong Kar-wai, Edward Yang or Zhang Yuan. Also very useful are the sections "filmscripts", "interviews" or "film theory".
