Hello all,

I'm looking at how I might write a generic number parser. I'm thinking of
using a property list to return the number (in bits), but would like to be
able to indicate an error (if one occurs). I was thinking of using a
property "error code" for this, and wondered if some kind of standardised
system might be useful. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
