Self description: "The Project is based on the researches of Bruce and
Taeko Brooks into the dates and authenticity of the classical Chinese
texts. [...] The Warring States period [...] are little understood due to
uncertainty about the dates of the source texts. [...] The Project was
founded in 1993 by Lee R. Edwards, Dean of the College of Humanities and
Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as a forum where
this work could be developed in dialogue with other scholars [...] It has
gradually become a focus of collaboration for the 100 international
scholars of the Warring States Working Group."
