well, it is a bit more than JAP, isn't it. you are right it is still within 2e
but but it provide some quite different approach and if Arno likes to
acknowledge it I think this is nice.
The working title we have for the expl3 implementation on top of LaTeX2e is
"l3in2e" but perhaps that's difficult to understand. So I would perhaps go for
LaTeX2e with expl3 extensions
